Hi Sisters! Astronomy and Astrophysics is a wonderful career to look into if you enjoy maths and learning all about the infinite depths of our universe. Here, we have all the resources you will need to start off your educational space journey!


Beginners (for those who aren't to familiar with astronomy and want to learn more)


  • A free series of webinars hosted by profesional astronomers to learn more about the field and their expertise.

2) *The Summer Science Program: https://summerscience.org

  • Offers an exhilarating hands-on program where student collaborate on a real research project in astrophysics and biochemistry.

  • An in-person camp where students travel across California visiting space sites and learning all about the history of astronomy. For ages 12-17. requires tuition.


Experienced (for those who want to gain more experience in astronomy and astrophysics)


1) *UC Davis COSMOS Summer Program: https://cosmos.sf.ucdavis.edu

  • Students participate with like-minded peers to address some of the most pressing issues in astronomy today.

2) NASA Internship Program: https://intern.nasa.gov

  • Apply as an intern at NASA, working with some of the most esteemed astronomers as mentors and gain back-stage access to scientific research and space launches!

3) UCLA Physics & Astronomy Undergraduate Research: https://www.pa.ucla.edu/undergraduate-research-experience.html

  • A ten-week Undergraduate Summer Research program explicitly for department students.

4) Northwestern Physics & Astronomy Research for High School Students:


  • A cool opportunity to develop lab skills and work with professors studying a variety of theories in astrophysics.
